Gandhinagar: Himashu Patel, the famed sarpanch of Gujarat's smart village Punsari in Sabarkantha district has been appointed as the chief executive officer for the central government's Malnutrition-Free India 2022 project in 11 states. Patel's vision and efforts in turning a small village in rural Gujarat into a smart village and converting anganwadis into Nandghars received praise from the government at centre. Now he has been tasked with leading the union government's pet project aimed at ending malnutrition among children in India by 2022. - Meranews.in
